Causemunity is a Facebook community where you can easily share product information with friends,
get cash rewards, and support your favorite causes all at the same time!
Using Causemunity, you can ask for product recommendations from your friends, or recommend
products to your friends by sending them messages. If your friends buy the product based on
your recommendation, both you and your friends can receive cash rewards! (provided the merchant

To make it even more rewarding, we’re also making it incredibly easy to donate your cash reward
to your favorite causes! You can choose the causes you want to support, the percentage of
cash reward you plan to donate to each cause, and we’ll donate your cash reward to the causes automatically!
Using Causemunity, you don’t have to write a check or pull out your credit card to donate to your
causes, simply start shopping from many of the well-known online stores you already shop
with, such as Target, Buy.com, Amazon.com and etc., by first visiting Causemunity and then
start earning cash reward for your causes. It is that easy!
To make donations more fun and exciting, every time you donate to your cause through Causemunity, we'll
post a news story so all your friends know you're supporting these causes. This is a great way for you
to spread the word about the causes, and rally for support among your friends!
As a Causemunity member, there are many ways you can earn cash reward:
- Shop directly with our affiliated online merchants through Causemunity
- Buy products recommended to you by a friend
- Recommend a product to your friends who made the purchase based on your recommendation
- Buy products recommended to you by a cause
And more importantly, if you have some favorite causes you want to support,
you can choose to donate your cash reward to those causes. You control
the percentage of your cash reward that goes to yourself and to each cause, and we'll transfer your
donation automatically to your designated cause once your accumulated reward reaches a minimum amount.
So you don't have to remember to write a check or pull out your credit card to make a donation. As long
as you go to the merchants' sites through our website,
every time you make a purchase online, you could
be contributing to your favorite causes! It's completely simple, easy and fun! And there is
absolutely no extra cost to you!
To donate to your favorite causes using Causemunity, just follow these simple steps:
- Find the causes you want to support by clicking the 'add more' button on the DonationSettings
page
- Setup the percentage of cash reward that you plan to donate to each cause
DonationSettings page.
That's it! Once we transfer your cash reward to the cause, we'll send you email
confirmation about the contribution. The cause may send you a receipt as well. If you can't find your
favorite cause on Causemunity, just ask the cause leader to sign up with us.
All the leader has to be is to provide a few pieces of information about
the cause. (see below for details)
If you are already a cause leader, that’s great! It’s time to urge your members to start using
Causemunity to support your cause! Here's the link to the Causemunity application:

Use this link on your cause page, make an announcement, write a wall post or add this link in your cause
description, and let your members recognize this great way to support your cause without having to pull
out their credit cards!
To make it easy for users to find the Causemunity application once they authorize it, please ask your
members to bookmark the application, by clicking ‘Bookmark’ on the bottom of the page when they have the
application open. This will add a link in the user's "application" menu, which will help the users to
find the application faster.
And please sign up your cause with us if you have not. By signing up your cause with Causemunity, it allows
your members to more easily donate their cash rewards to your cause, and it also allows you to recommend
products directly to your members by sending them messages using Causemunity.
Please sent an email to us at support@causemunity.org with the following information:
- Cause name
- Names of cause creator and admins
- Type of cause, such as Animal, Education, Health, Human Services, International and etc.
- Cause id (optional): can be found in the url when you are on your cause page
We’ll do our best to evaluate it within three business days.
To send a message to cause members using Causemunity, click the 'Compose' tab inside the
Causemunity page, compose your message, and include a link to a website where your members can go to
and purchase your recommended product. Then click "Send to Cause" link. Click the radio button by the
cause, and click
'Send to Selected Cause' button. That's it! Every member in your cause who's agreed to donate to your cause
through Causemunity
will receive your message. They can then open their Causemunity application to view the
message. And they will receive your message in their emails as well, if they have also authorized us
to send email notifications to them. (please note, if you send a message to your cause using
Causemunity, ONLY those cause members who choose to donate to your cause can read your message)
As a Causemunity member, you will receive the same cash reward when buying products recommended to
you by a cause, the same as buying products recommended to you by your friends.
If you're a cause leader, you cause will receive cash reward as a recommender for each purchase.
If one hundred members purchase the recommended product, you'll receive cash reward from the one hundred
purchases. What a great way to generate revenues for your cause!
The cash reward is either a fixed amount for each transaction, or a percentage of the dollar amount of
the transaction. When your available cash reward amount is over $25, you can request the reward via a
check to yourself.
